Pinnacle completed our annual client conference, Summit 2017, at the end of May with valued Pinnacle clients, respected partners and Pinnacle team members from across the country. This two day event offered valuable Pinnacle solutions and industry knowledge to keep up-to-date on the changes and opportunities within the convenience store and petroleum sectors.
We were fortunate to have Jackson Lewis, Assistant Editor with Winsight/CSP Daily News, as a participant for the first time. Jackson recently published an online article on 6 Tech Tips From the Pinnacle Summit. His takeaways are incredibly informative and an insight into the industry information and Pinnacle best practices that make our annual Summit so valuable for clients.
A few highlights are:
- EMV preparedness: The longer you wait, the more apt you are to be a target of fraud. Pinnacle developer Troy Jones warned that later implementation leaves retailers open to theft.
- The Move to Mobile: Pinnacle client Nick Lynch, of Lynch Oil, discussed the new Mr. Gas Mobile App- built and powered by the Pinnacle Affiniti Mobile Platform- and the multiple benefits the new app has given his company and his customers.
- The Mobile Menu: Peter Steele, Vice President of Research for Pinnacle, unveiled the upcoming new mobile ordering capabilities on Pinnacle’s Affiniti Mobile Platform- with the possibility of voice-activated ordering.
Led by valued Pinnacle client and Master of Ceremonies Howard Hyche, Vice President of Information Technology at Double Quick, and situated at the Sheraton Arlington Hotel just minutes from Pinnacle Headquarters, Summit 2017 offered clients and industry professionals the opportunity to gain not only software expertise, but best business practices in an often volatile market.
